    Smartphones

Reportedly, 15 million people from the Netherlands were using smartphones in 2018. And, predictably, the number will reach 16.64 million milestones within 2024. Currently, Dutch people are using 3G and 4G, while VodafoneZiggo is expected to bring 5G services in most of the Netherlands.

    Internet Connection

According to the report, close to 16.13 million people have used internet connection in the Netherlands, and within 2025, it is expected to grow by 0.8 million. Most Dutch people use a cellular connection from t-Mobile, Vodaphone, KPN, Simoyo, Youfone, and others.

    Mobiles

When the mobile market share of the Netherlands comes into concern, Apple is holding maximum shares (43.15%), and Samsung comes in the next position with its 36.02% share. On the other hand, the Netherlands’ mobile operating system market is getting ruled by Android with 56.54%, while iOS is breathing on its shoulder with 43.15%.

Eyeing on these stats, the popularity of mobile gambling presently in Dutch land can be assumed. And, with further growth in technology and the number of tech-savvy gamblers, mobile gambling presumably grows more in the country.

Staying Safe

The Netherlands has its fair share of illegal gambling halls, hidden behind hotels and coffee shops. These dens welcome bettors who are not allowed into the Holland Casino because of huge debts or worse. And they end up spending way more money than they could do in a licensed casino.

Playing in illegal casinos will almost guarantee trouble in one form or another. Getting mugged after stepping out of the casino is possible, not to mention the nasty fights that happen frequently. Illegal mobile casinos, on the other hand, may decide to collect real money wagers and disappear into thin air.

Playing With Real Money

The secret to successful gambling is knowing when to walk away. Or in this case, when to close that casino app. And there's no better way of doing that than having a clear-cut budget and sticking to it. The idea here is to fit gaming expenses in the overall budget.

Also, alcohol does not go well with gambling. It is the leading reason for overspending in casinos, and that explains why most high rollers are heavy smokers and light drinkers. To be on the safe side, have that gamming session first, then grab a drink later while scrolling through social media.

Get to Know Netherlands

The Netherlands might be a small country, but it is full of history and character. It is famous for being a cycling nation with millions of bicycles on its streets. They even have guided bike tours that offer a unique experience to tourists who want to keep fit, spend less and see more.

The Netherlands also has wooden shoes (clogs) that make great souvenirs as they come in various interesting finishes. Tourist can even go directly to a clog maker and get a custom-made pair at an extra cost. Then head off to see the beautiful bulb fields that come to life in spring.

Dutch iGaming Industry to Finally Launch in October 2021

The launch of the Dutch iGaming industry is finally set to go down on October 1, 2021. Although this is one month later than expected, it's still a welcome relief for Dutch online gambling fans. In January, the Minister for Legal Protection, Sander Dekker, announced April 1, 2021, as the new date when the Dutch Remote Gambling Act (KOA) will come into effect. The minister also said that the market would fully open on October 1, 2021.
